Happy Turkey Day

All the family gathered together for our annual Christmas tree cutting at the Christmas Tree Plantation in Union Springs, AL, just outside of Huntsville. We always take the family Christmas card picture at the farm, as we call it. I think others were trying to figure out why I was lugging my strobes and all my stands out into the Christmas trees. This is the whole family, including a girlfriend that has been hanging around for a while. It was great to have everyone together again. I hope that all of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. As for me and my house, we feel very blessed and thankful for our families and all of the people that we get to be with each and every day. Hope to see you soon for some pictures.

Baby Hilton

This rainy November Saturday was full of bright spots for us! We had the best time taking pictures of three week old baby Hilton and his family. Amy works with Hilton's mommy and she has been looking forward to photographing this little boy for about 9 months! We were honored to be the photographers for his first official photo shoot! We were able to set up in a couple of places in their home and capture some precious photos of this sweet baby boy. Hilton in the basket of leaves is now in our all time top five favorites!

Samford and Us

We had the chance of going to Samford Lawn on the campus of Auburn University and take some neat shots. They were more play shots than they were anything. Brandon just wanted to play around with his new strobe flashes and Cybersyncs. We have some light coming in from the back to create a nice halo around our feet and we threw a little bit of flash on the front, just enough to tell that we were there. There were lots more pictures that we took, but this was one of our favorites.

Graham Bear

Last weekend, we took a little trip to Atlanta to visit Amy's sister and our nephew. As always, he had several new tricks to thrill us with. We realize we are partial, but we are pretty sure he is the most precious child on the face of the earth. We are so blessed to be this little bear's "auntie" and "uncee".

Layne Family

Today we had the pleasure of visiting and photographing one of our favorite families. We took some pictures of them once before. They are truly one of the prettiest families we have seen. I think you'll agree. Their youngest child has grown so much since the last time we were around and it was so nice to visit with all of the kids. Sadly, I hurt my back so Amy had to take these pictures mostly on her own. I think she did a fabulous job. Great pictures of a great family.
